Our Story (from the Ferrets’ Hammock 💤)

Our founder has a dream where every ferret gets the love, care, and cuddles they deserve. She gives us safe beds, full food bowls, vet visits (even if we squeak about them), and lots of patience when our mischievous side shows up.

She patches us up, helps us heal, and does her best to find us good homes with humans who understand just how special we are. For those of us who need more time or who can’t be adopted, she makes sure we still have a forever place to play, nap, and wiggle.

We love her for all of this—trust us, that’s saying a lot, because winning over a room full of ferrets is no small feat! And that’s why this rescue isn’t just a shelter—it’s truly a home.

Meet Dawn Peters

We love her, and we think you will too!

This is my human. She may call herself Dawn, but really she’s our chauffeur, nurse, toy supplier, snack lady, and full-time butler.

She takes us to the vet, gives us baths (rude), buys us toys, talks about us non-stop, and even runs fundraisers to support us.

Plus, she’s got kids, a home to clean, a job and a vacuum that works overtime because of us… and somehow, she still spoils us rotten.

Pretty sure she works harder for us than we do for treats (and trust me, I do a lot for treats). Told you—superhuman and you would totally love her!!!
